Labor Federation President Calls for Action on Jobs in Statement

Below is the statement of Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation President Paul Ellis-Graham on today's jobs report:
"This economy is not working for working people. Corporate profits are at record highs, but wages are stagnant and the economy added only 80,000 net new jobs last month – not enough to bring down unemployment.
It is time for Rep. Nan Hayworth and her colleagues to stop blocking the American Jobs Act, which the AFL-CIO supports and which independent economists believe will add 2 million jobs to the economy, and put America back to work. If Americans cannot find jobs, come November some members of Congress will be looking for new jobs!"
